The type 2 cap pictured is the style cap winning bidder will receive attached to the canteen. This style cap has a drinking vent which can be used to insert a hose when wearing a gas mask or special breathing device. This style cap has been in use with the U.S. Military for 40+ years. The dates on the bottom of the canteen and the back of the case range from 1970 - 2006.
